Martin Hobby – Corporate Headshots, The Art Of Photographing People Who Don’t Want To Be Photographed.

The easiest person to photograph is someone who already knows they look good. Unfortunately, those people rarely book corporate headshots.

In this 3-hour practical workshop, Martin will explore how to create better portraits by understanding the person in front of the camera.

Most people don’t enjoy having their photograph taken. They feel awkward, they don’t know what to do with their hands, and many will tell you they’re “not photogenic”.

With over 30 years of experience photographing everyone from corporate teams and business leaders to people who would rather avoid the camera completely, Martin will share the practical techniques and insights that help turn nervous subjects into relaxed, confident portraits.

This interactive workshop is about much more than lighting. You’ll explore how communication, trust and direction play a huge role in creating authentic images, alongside practical techniques for producing professional headshots in a variety of situations.

During the workshop you’ll explore:

  • Why people dislike being photographed and how to change their experience

  • How to build rapport quickly with someone you’ve just met

  • Simple techniques for helping people relax in front of the camera

  • How to give direction without making people feel awkward

  • Reading body language and adapting your approach

  • Lighting approaches that work in different locations

  • Creating consistent, professional headshots without complicated setups

  • How being photographed yourself can make you a better portrait photographer

Perfect for photographers wanting to improve their headshot and portrait photography, build confidence working with people, and create images that feel natural, authentic and professional.

And it definitely doesn’t guarantee the life you thought this business would give you.

truth:

You don’t get what you want from your business by doing more…

Anil Karwal – The Deeper Story: How 360 Drones Transform Both the Edit and the Experience

A 360 drone doesn’t take a picture, it captures the whole scene. When you have the whole scene, you can tell a deeper story with it, in two directions at once. In the edit: fly once and frame later, reframing a single pass into establishers, punch-ins, pans and vertical crops – more angles, more options, more story from every flight. And in the experience: the same capture becomes the raw material for XR storytelling and 3D Gaussian splatting, where photography turns into a photorealistic 3D scene the viewer can actually step inside. Drawing on his travel storytelling work with JRNY Travel Magazine, Anil walks through both sides – the kit, the workflow, and what it means when the frame is no longer the limit of the story.
