In Phil’s words…
The day will start with a cuppa to get us going, followed by a briefing for the day’s schedule. During this we will touch on safety and horse behaviour for those completely new to the genre.
We’ll then move on to a practical demonstration and workshop based on taking “black background” portraits. These are very popular with clients and there are a few techniques to explore which will get you the best results available at the time, leaving less work to do when editing. We’ll cover these techniques and you can practise them for yourselves.
After a light lunch*, we’ll move outdoors to the beautiful scenery to be found at EKW Equestrian, taking advantage of the fabulous autumn colours.
The afternoon session will be all about outdoor location portraiture, and will cover such things as:
– Location choice
– Use of available light
– Clothing choice
and more. There will be a wide variety of horses and models available in throughout the day.
For more specific timings, and to learn about your leader for the day see ‘Event Details’
*Immediately after booking please provide any notes on special dietary requirements that you may have over to email@example.com
** An alternative date has been booked into the diary should this experience day need to be postponed should any bad weather be deemed too poor for the safety of all involved; Saturday 27th November. If you will not be able to make the alternative date please let us know immediately after booking along with the above point. (And let’s keep our fingers crossed for the best weather!)
***There will be optional 1:1 Zoom sessions available after the shoot date where PHIL will walk through editing some of your images with you. These are priced at £25/hour and are to be arranged directly through Phil following the experience day if you would like to partake!
