Description

If you are a Newborn Photographer looking to achieve qualifications, improve competition results or simply improve your photography in this genre, then this could be the perfect day for you.

The day will start with an insight into how judges score newborn images and what can make the difference between award levels.

You will also receive guidance how to prepare panel at all levels, with a particular focus on image selection…and (whilst not compulsory) you are encouraged to bring examples of your own work for a portfolio review.

Following this, the rest of the day will be spent will will involve a ‘live shoot’ with a model to practically demonstrate and apply the learning, with a particular emphasis on lighting, angles and styling.  This will practically highlight the key areas to focus on when shooting for competition or panels, looking at how subtle adjustments can make a big difference to your photographs.

The day is designed to both inspire and challenge you to take your newborn photography to the next level and will be led by Guild Judge Jo Bradley, a multi award winning Master Craftsman in Newborn Photography.

As well as being a Master Craftsman, Jo was awarded the title of Newborn Photographer of the Year in 2018. She runs a thriving newborn photography business in Chelmsford, Essex, and as an ex teacher Jo is passionate about ongoing learning and has a real desire to help and inspire other photographers through training and mentoring.

If you are looking to achieve qualification this year or to improve your IOM scores this could be the perfect day for you.

You will gain an insight into how the judges score newborn images and what makes the difference between each award.
