In 2015, PhotoHubs events were launched with the idea of providing high-quality photographic education and inspiration (with a relaxed, fun side, too) at affordable prices.
We started offering online events during the first pandemic ‘lockdown’ in March 2020 (two free sessions a day at that point) and have continued such sessions since then, as we appreciate that not everyone can attend our in-person events.
Our online webinars are our way of bringing PhotoHubs, highly regarded photographers and business experts into your home for you to watch live or ‘on demand’ at your convenience.
Every session is different – some live and some pre-recorded, some free and some paid, but all aim to inspire and educate in a relaxed way …
All you need to do is browse, register and enjoy!
You can still register to watch the recordings for at least 4 weeks after the stated go-live date
In most cases the link to webinars will be emailed to those who have registered on the morning of the session.

Summary –Neil Shearer is a Manchester-based commercial photographer and Elinchrom ambassador, working across sport, lifestyle and product photography for brands and agencies through his studio NSP.
Before turning to photography full time in 2012, Neil spent almost a decade in scientific research, including a role as Senior DMPK Scientist at AstraZeneca. That background still shapes how he works today: methodical, curious, and always testing.
Alongside his client work, Neil runs Rousseau, a fine art sneaker photography project that began entirely on his own terms, with no brief and no client. It has since become one of the most talked about parts of his portfolio, helping win him multiple Advertising Photographer of the Year awards and the Profoto Luminance Prize, judged against almost 250 international entries. His work has also featured in Lürzer’s Archive, one of the industry’s most respected creative annuals.

This concept gives the power back to photographers, says Steve. It assumes there’s an abundance of quality clients if we choose to care enough to help people discover what matters most to them.
Clients who call and ask about price, digital files, or “your cheapest option” are often as assumed to be mere price shoppers and even “not my client.” The assumption is they don’t value the art or the process. However, that’s not always the case.
“Over the years I have learned that clients only buy what they believe they are worth, not what we believe we are worth,” says Steve. “When we help our clients discover what is important to them, such as their relationships, they suddenly do not care about digital files. They want wall art. They happily spend thousands on portraits even though they started off wanting something cheap. Our clients want to be celebrated and are craving someone to help them find what they have to celebrate in a world that is constantly looking for fault and negativity.”
The more photographers care about their clients, the more they help them discover what’s important, the easier those clients are to book—and the more they spend. The process becomes less about selling and more about helping people find everything they want.
“In order to make great clients, we need to stop talking about ourselves and start asking more questions about our clients,” says Steve. “Figure out what matters to them. We have to learn the art of listening. We need to see the person who means the most to them through their eyes and help them understand how that relationship is more important than price or digital files.”
